Well, that was an unexpected tribal. Let's go over a few things shall we?
  1. How do you react to tonight's tribal? There was a lot of whispering going on, only for the vote to be tied, and then finally Tiffany was sent packing on the revote. Were you afraid of going to rocks? Why do you think tonight went the way it went? Give us your overall word vomit reaction to how it all went down.
  2. On Survivor, there usually is one big twist for each season. What would you think the twist is for this season of Stranded? In general, how often do you enjoy these type of big twists you see on TV?
  3. Prisoner's Dilemma, a Stranded classic. How do you feel about Lindsey catching that immunity first? Do you wish that someone else grabbed it or waited longer for it, or are you fine with how the challenge went?
  4. For a bit of a calmer on the last question, who in this game do you enjoy non-game talks with? To just shoot the shit with and bond personally, or for entertainment.

FFS, It's a classic Survivor mistake. Making those who are on the bottom feel like they're on the bottom.

While I do have to take most of the responsibility for this, I still think there was next to zero indication that JD was unhappy with the alliance. I went back and looked at that conversation he referred to. It went:
J: How are you actually feeling?
B: I'd much rather keep Lin, but I want to maintain trust with you three so I don't want to push it
J: I feel like I’m in the same boat as you Brad. It’s just a matter of what we can do
B: I think we have to take our medicine and vote where Tiff and Erika want haha
J: Yeah for sure. Especially since I am not going to be fully active at tribal.
Like, what can I do with that? I gave my opinion and he said "Yeah for sure!" I think he's exactly the same as Sydney - volatile and temperamental. He goes and parties for a week and then gets upset at us because he's not driving the strategy?? Fuck off mate.
But... Like I said at the start, I have to take responsibility. If JD lacks the self-confidence to voice his opinions, I have to be able to recognise that and cater to it. I hope I get another opportunity to fix this.

Lindsey probably thinks I'm an idiot now, which is good, because she'll think I'm easy to manipulate (which it looks like I am). I believe I've done enough work with Will to make that an option for me down the track. But even on the minute chance that I manage to be the last one left in the minority and then picked up as a number in someone else's move. How can I possibly make it to the end in a way that will earn the respect of a jury?

Questions:
  1. I was kind of willing to go to rocks because at this point I'd hung my hat on the idea of making it old Kam vs old Maus. I want to take this opportunity to say I was totally right that we should have built those relationships with Lin and Will as a group. Now Lindsey couldn't care less that I was trying to get the vote off of her. My only hope there is that JD mentions that I was against voting her out. She won't take it from me.
  2. I've got no bloody clue.
  3. I was literally going to be one or two seconds behind her. I decided to wait to actually see Jeff's "Go" post, just in case I accidentally did it too early and it was void. Lindsey decided to take the risk and it paid off.
  4. I enjoy talking strategy. The more strategy I can talk, the happier I am. I don't really care about the non-game talk, I just do it because I feel like my social game is literally the only thing that's kept me alive after seven rounds of awful, awful gameplay.

So, it looks like JD was convinced that my idol is real and that he's passed that info on to Lindsey and Will.

Oh how I'd love to do the old "I'm going to flip a coin and play this for one of us at random" trick. But as dramatic and flashy and awesome as that would be, I don't think that's my best move. If it was real, sure. But not with a fake one. If they think I'm bound to play an idol for myself, there's very little chance they'll vote for me. But if they think there's a 50% chance I WON'T play it for myself, they're much more likely to decide to throw the vote on me. There is also a chance that they could genuinely become disarrayed and the vote goes every which way. But honestly, I think Lindsey is too good for that.
